Assignment #7

Hey,

a)Which category of Canadian Personalities interested you the most? Did you like the "we inspired", "we founded", "we fought", "we built" or "we governed" section the best? Why?

I read about Gabrielle Roy and she was a famous writer. She was in the "We inspire" category.

She inspired me the most because she was an awesome writer. Also because she made people want to write books and enjoy it very much! She also inspired them by making them write things about themselves. If you want to read more about her than

I also read about Samuel De Champlain and he was a famous explorer and a administrator. He was in the"We built" category.Samuel De Champlain was a writer to and he inspired people to come to North America. If you want to read more about him

b.) Which personality interested you the most? Why? Find an image of him or her to embed (add to the body of your post) and write, in your own words, a short description of what he or she did and why he or she is your favourite. If you get information from any source, you must credit it by creating a link to it (that includes information from the site that I've asked you to look at).The person that inspired me the most was Gabrielle Roy. She inspired me the most because she was and awesome writer and because she didn't give up at all when her work was not good enough, she just kept going. The picture at the top, as you might have noticed, is Gabrielle Roy.

c.) In your post, suggest three more influential Canadian personalities that could be added to this site. Why did you choose these people? Which categories would they fit into? Link to information about each of them. The three people I'm suggesting are,Mary Brant and Joseph Brant(they were both great Aboriginal leaders), and Mordecai Richer is another great writer.I chose Mary Brant and Joseph Brant because I though that if you ever want to be a leader when you grow up you should read about him and he will be a great remodel(click here if you want to cheek it out). And I picked Mordecai Richer because he was also another awesome writer to being with. Click here to read more.

7d.) Which History-Maker did you have the most in common with? Were you able to figure it out from the clues given? What do you share with that person? What are some things that are different between you and that person. The person I was match up was Thomas (Tom) Longboat. Me and Tom were similar because we both play sport. I would say Tom is way athletic than I and, and he probably likes a different spot than me.

8. Think long and hard about this part and then post an answer to this question on your blog:
e.) One hundred years from now, (in 2109!) imagine that students are learning about Canadian History Makers and they discover you. What will you be remembered for?How were you a Canadian History Maker? You are using your imagination, so think about some things that you would like to accomplish in your life and imagine that you have all the accomplishments of your life to look back on. Write a short profile of yourself, imagining the contributions you have made to the future of Canada.
I would want to be remember so a sports event.I want to be none for a person who made a really awesome sport that a lot of people would like. I would want to be the first person who shoots from on end of the basketball net into the other nets basket. That would be really awesome. In 1995 Mariam Khazaal was born in 2100 she was able to get in and awesome team called.....The Flames. She was able to score a shoot from the other end of the gym into the other teams net.How awesome is that.

And that's all for assignment #7 hope you liked it......Leave a comment.

Viola Desmond

I chose Viola Desmond for my black history month because she was an awesome businesswoman, should attended a lot of movies, and on November 8,1946 she went to a movie at Rosalind theater in New Glasgow.

She was arrested because she sat downstairs in the theaters when she is only aloud to sit upstairs because that was the rule back than, that was were black people were supposed to sit down. She was put in jail for 12 hours and than she got out.

Than she had to pay a fine for 20 dollars. And that is all I have about Viola Desmond.
